I’m so grateful to the OEF for the $1,000 grant I received.  With the grant I was able to purchase new books for the library that include characters that are underrepresented in the library who have multicultural holidays and experiences that may differ from our student population to help educate and bring awareness to our own students about how people live around the world.  I have also purchased books that will continue to support the STEM curriculum in the elementary setting.  I can’t stress enough how excited I am to be receiving this grant as I am constantly working to update the library collection so the students have access to the  most up-to-date materials for their enjoyment as well as for classroom projects they do.
