Danielle Tandoc, anatomy teacher at the high school, received a grant from the Okemos Education Foundation to purchase thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, and suture kits. Students use these materials to look at the cardio effects with different activities, and they use the suture kits to practice different types of stitches on bananas and on pigs feet.
