Dear Okemos Education Foundation,

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your grant, which we used to acquire supplies for our art classes at OHS. As a result of your generosity, we purchased three painting easels, 19 frames, eight tabletop easels, and three art display pedestals.

Our artists have used the frames to display their artwork in our showcases, in our school’s main office, and in several art shows throughout the Lansing area. We had great success this year in our art shows winning top awards at the MSUFCU Student Art Show, Art Scholarship Alert Art Show, Ingham County Student Art Show, and the Congressional Art Competition. The frames bring a touch of professionalism and sophistication to our student’s artwork and will be used for years to come.

The display pedestals are in the art showcase in the hallway and are excellent supports for displaying our three-dimensional pieces. They are lightweight and easy to move for us teachers too, which is a bonus. The painting easels have been a wonderful addition for our painting students, giving them the option to stand and create their art. Through your grant, we were able to support our art students in their creative endeavors. The benefits of this grant will be utilized for years to come. Thank you again for all you do for our district and for supporting the visual arts program at Okemos High School.
