(Assistant Treasurer) and her family moved to Okemos in 1997. In 1999, Karen began working at Hiawatha Elementary School when her youngest son Ryan started first grade. She continues to work at Hiawatha today, where she has spent the past 11 years in Food Service—a position she loves and compliments her background as a Registered Dietitian. Her sons, Jonathan, Brendan, and Ryan, graduated from Okemos High School in 2003, 2007, and 2007 respectively. Karen is joining OEF as Assistant Treasurer and brings with her 12 years of experience as the Outdoor Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 125, where all three of her sons obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. Currently, Karen also serves on the Mission Committee and teaches Early Elementary Sunday School at Okemos Community Church.  Karen has been an OEF trustee since 2014.
