lived in Okemos from 2011-2018 with her husband and three children, Peter, Lauren, and Danielle.  A native of Wisconsin, Joanna earned a Bachelor in Business Administration (Accounting) and Masters in Professional Accountancy, both from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  Joanna was an Instructor in the Accounting and Information Systems Department in the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.  Previously, she was an audit professional at Deloitte and Touche LLP and Ernst and Young LLP.

Joanna enjoys working with non-profit groups and served as the Treasurer of the Hiawatha PTO from 2012-2018 and as a representative to the Okemos Parent Council from 2016-2018.  Joanna was the OEF Treasurer from fall 2017 until her relocation back to Madison in June 2018.
