Kenneth B. Green, 2008 "Special Recognition" Award Recipient

Kenneth B. GreenKenneth B. Green was born, reared, and educated in Gadsden, Alabama. He graduated from Gadsden High School with honors in May 1972, after attending Saint Martin DePorres Catholic School for his elementary and middle school education. Kenneth grew up very active in his church, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts of America, and the local Boys Club where he received many honors and awards. After graduating from high school, Kenneth attended Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and received an honorable discharge in 1975.

Kenneth relocated to the state of Michigan in 1994 and became an employee with the Okemos Public School district, where he presently serves as a lead custodial/maintenance supervisor at Chippewa Middle School. Kenneth was reared by a single mother and his grandparents who taught him to love God and respect all mankind by treating others as he wished to be treated.
