2002 Founder's Award Recipient, Robert Miller, Jr.

Robert Miller, Jr. - Okemos High School Class of 1967, Michigan State University Class of 1972, Certified Public Accountant with Maner, Costerisan & Ellis, P.C. in Lansing - grew up in Okemos, attended Wardcliff, Central and the high school (Chippewa Middle School now).

Bob's children attended Okemos schools and graduated from Okemos schools. Dan Wertz asked me to be the Treasurer for Okemos Education Foundation (OEF) when it was first formed and I became President a year or two later. A member of the Founders of Okemos Education Foundation, I returned to service for OEF as assistant to the Treasurer to provide voluntary accounting services for the past three years. Okemos schools gave me a great foundation for my life and I think OEF is a great opportunity to provide support for innovative teachers and students to foster creative learning experiences at Okemos Public Schools.
